Watching the clip you probably won't feel a sense of urgency, but if you played through the game you know that the world depends on you beating him. Although not a very impressive battle tech wise, it's the symbolism and whats at stake that is. Pokey unleashing Giygas could destroy the world, your attacks don't do anything against him. It also helps that he is one of the creepiest bosses I've ever had the pleasure to fight. Also, yeah, there are spoilers there, but trust when I say, seeing it before playing won't make a difference.

The only final boss you could give a degrading name to, Gary Motherfucking Oak! This fucker was always one step ahead of you, always picking the pokemons that you are weak against. You were fucking ECSTATIC when you kicked this cocky shit right in his asshole.
