It was because of the Mayan calender. The Mayan's ended the month of december on the 12th. They made this calender thousands of years ago, so they just made a really long calender. They stopped at 2012. It meant nothing about the end of the world, but some fuck started with OH SHIT THE MAYANS KNOW IT ALL AND IF THEY DIDNT MAKE A CALENDER PAST THAT DATE, THE WORLD SHALL END!


My IBEW paper calender runs out of paper on December 31st....does that mean, gasp, the worlds gonna end on new years? D:

No these calenders were made thousands of years ago. They can't make infinate calenders, thats not possible, they have to stop making them at some point. So they made a few thousand years worth, none of them would live that long so who cared. Well no some idiots are taking that fact into the wrong context.

Natural cycles in the Earth's weather patterns? We've been through a fucking ICE AGE. Mother Earth can handle some waves, quakes, & wind.

The rise in this cycle are much more dramatic in those of the past. This might and should lead to a longer, colder ice age.

Tsunamis occur every single day. Some of them hit land, about one every week. The one from 200(4?) was only popular because it was so devistating.

Tornados are formed when cold air and warm air collide from opposite directions. This is only possible in large flat areas, as there being obstructions would stop the direct flow of wind into the twister. Tornados have been around FOREVER, their EXTREEEEMELY common, especially in middle america where itsall plains and farmland. Their almost as common as rain.

Earthquakes are because of the earths plates colliding causing seismic activity. It's the natural way that the earth moves, theres nothing "apocolyptic" about it.

The earth will not last forever, which is obvious. i think that the earth's "extreme natural disasters" will keep getting worse until it totally and completely annihilates itself. i do not care about why i shouldn't believe in this, i have an opinion and ill stick to it. regardless what you all say.
