I saw the new Punisher movie today.
The previous one, with John Travolta as the main bad guy, didn't have as much violence as a Punisher movie should have but it had pretty good acting, and was an overall good movie.
Now this one... The Punisher looks a little more like he should, kills everyone instead after interrogating them, the violence is awesome, blood and gore everywhere, bad ass executions, most of the action scenes were cool... But the acting... is just.. terrible. At some moments I had to simply pause the movie, rewind and listen to the dialogue again, because I couldn't believe what I am hearing. I'm not sure who wrote the script, but several plot points really felt like they are thrown there just for shits and giggles.
There were a couple of scenes that felt like watching Star Wars: Episode III again.
<Anakin Skywalker>: *after Mace Windu got destroyed by the Emperor* WHAT HAVE I DONE???
<The Emperor>: *inhales* join.... me.....
<Anakin>: Ok.
You know what I mean?

Some of the action scenes, like a fist fight between Frank Castle and some random FBI dude was so cheesy that cheddar was leaking out of my screen. I know, I know, it's a movie based on a comic book. But it's the one comic book where the superhero does not shoot lasers out of his ass to defeat cosmic octopuses that want to devour.. something on Earth. The Punisher is supposed to be dark, more real than let's say, Spiderman. The previous movie was dark and pretty realistic. This one went for the flashy "kung-fu" combat scenes, and that sort of destroyed it.
So.. I'm pretty disappointed.

None of the Punishers movies are really any good, but what kind of movie are you expecting from a dude who wears purple leather and just runs around killing people? I've never seen a Punisher flick but for the most part they look like fun, mindless popcorn flicks.

Also, Jigsaw = greatest build up evar.

They made superhero movies that were just great movies (Iron Man, The Dark Knight), not exactly popcorn flicks. I think they should do the same with Punisher. He is a way more interesting character then those numerous dudes wearing skin-tight outfights and having superpowers due to some bullshit mutation. Punisher is just a regular dude. No eye-lasers. Same thing makes Iron Man interesting as a super hero. And Batman.

Oh, and the Punisher video game was just bad ass.

The video game was freaking awesome.
I played it when I was just like 11 or 10 or something.
Man, I remember crushing people's heads in windows.. That was so freaking cool. Think about it, I was freaking 11 god damn it and I was shooting people's limps off so they were just lumps of meat left.

Epic game was epic.
And the first punisher wasn't too bad. Second one looked kind of shitty.

Yup. The new Punisher movie just had some decent action scenes, that's it.
Oh, and they had to rip something off, so they ripped off the Joker. And we have a homicidal, laughing psycho as one of the bad guys. The thing is, Heath Ledger as the Joker delivered a godly amazing performance. The psycho from Punisher did not, mostly because he tried too hard to be like the Joker.

The one Punisher I haven't seen is a movie from long time ago. With Dolph Lundgren. Heard it's terrible.

The first Punisher movie took one of the better story lines & built on it with some nice acting & a solid script, both of which were swept away for the sequel, which I can honestly say was one of the worst, most disappointing sequels, or for that matter films, I've ever seen. I'd watch Indiana Jones 4 before I watched this pile of tripe again.

Exactly. I do not understand why the first Punisher's reviews were as bad, if not worse as the new movie's.
And I haven't seen the new Indy... Is it really that bad?

Yes, JP. It really is that bad.

If you've been a fan of Indy since you were a kid watching it pretty much destroys all faith you ever had for the original trilogy. The acting was god awful, the villain was stupid, Shia Labouf ..and you know what? Shia isn't the worst part of all this. EVERY THING IS. A nuke goes off and to save himself Indy jumps in to a fridge, gets rocketed thousands of miles away and comes out intact.

Marion drives off a cliff, lands on a tree and then the tree bends doowwwnnn to the ground, and they drive off.

Indiana and his SON SHIA go to the old ancient city and are attacked by a bunch of savages. How long were they there? WHY are they there? Do the protect the place? WHATS GOING ON?!?
ALIENS are the reason behind the crystal skulls. Yeah, very cool. Ghosts and supernatural shit just seemed to WORK in the last movies..but aliens? Really? Fuucckk this shiiittt.

Enough that it can't be described in a forum post.

Sounds like enough reason for me to watch at least some of them.
