APB (All Points Bulletin) (Submitted by Møk3) Release Date: PC - March 2010 Developer: Realtime Worlds Publisher: EA Games Genre: Massively Multiplayer Online Action Shooter Rating: M (Estimated) Platform(s): PC (Speculated for Xbox 360 also) All Points Bulletin, or APB as it is more commonly known, had been a game I've been following for years. The game is a massively multiplayer online game, set in the style of a 3rd person shooter, similar to that of Grand Theft Auto. In essence, it's a big game of Cops and Robbers. Players choose a side, of either criminal or enforcer, and create their character however they like. The game is all about customization, and characters can be customized down to the very smallest details (and I mean the details). Cars and weapons are also highly customizable. The game also has a logo creator, which can be used to create custom graphics, which can be used as car decals, tattoos, clothing logos or details, gang graffiti, etc. The way the game works, is players work out in the world the way they normally would. Enforcers patrol the streets, follow around suspicious people, clean up small crime, and other things. Criminals plan heists, steal cars, mark territory with graffiti, etc. While doing these simple tasks, the game is working in the background to match players based on skill (there are no loading screens or pregame lobbies). When a match is found, one of the 2 groups is given a mission proposal, like a group of criminals could be told make drug deals, or enforcers could be told to protect an armored car on it's way to the bank. When the mission begins, the opposing team receives an APB alert, and they have to go and stop the crime, steal the money, or whatever. This leads to shootouts, police chases, standoffs, and lots of other fun events. Customization is extremely in depth, to the point of where you can even use a music eidtor to make a short 5 second jingle (sounds like a phone's ringtone), and when you kill another player, your jingle plays on their screen. The game also supports clans and such, in the form of gangs. The game is going to be amazing, and i've been splurging over it a lot lately. It's going to be an amazing game to get together a group of friends for...

This is going to be a permanent thread I just thought of when I realised how many good games are coming out, and how many recently came out. In this thread, I will be putting up games that are coming out soon that seem like they are going to be epic... very epic. I will also let you guys contribute as long as you follow the correct format (kinda like how I let you guys help with game reviews) This is going to be for everyone to reference, because sometimes you don't know about the existance of a lot of good games, and if you do, sometimes you don't know what the game is about. So this is to help open everyones eyes to the gems that are out for us to play. When someone contributes, and is approved, I will take their post and include it into the first post, then delete the original post. They will be credited for the submission so don't worry. You can also include games that came out recently that are amazing, or games that came out in the past. But don't make them too old, keep the games within the current generation of consoles. (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC).
This is the format to use. Game Title: Game's cover art (if it's too big i'll resize it for you, jsut don't make it too small) Release Date: (either when it is expected to be released, or when it was released if out already) Developer: Publisher: Genre: Rating: Platform(s):
And a short summary of what the game is about and why you think it's completely epic. I will add games soon, so you guys feel free to contribute while Im at school. (I'm sure you guys alreayd know what one i'm doing)

Game Title: Fallout 2
Release Date: 1998
Developer: Black Isle
Publisher: Interplay
Genre: cRPG
Rating: M
Platform(s): PC and Mac
Yeah. Fallout 2. It is an absolutely epic game with a huge world to explore, with numerous quests, encounters, items, dialogue. Contrary to the first game of the series, it does not have a time limit. After starting the game and doing the first, introductory quest, the player is free to do whatever he wants. Oh, and unlike Fallout 3, you can continue the game after finishing it. The game is filled with humor, but it's very cleverly placed, in a way that does not obstruct the overall very serious world of post-nuclear USA. Combat is turn-based, with AP determining how much can you move and how often can you attack/reload. The game is very balanced in terms of what character you want to play, a guy skilled in the use of rocket launchers and such can finish the game just as a guy using knives can. That way, the problem from the first game is omitted, where the turbo plasma rifle pretty much kicked ass and there was no other weapon even close in stats. Here, the small guns skill have the Gauss rifle and pistol, the big guns have the Bozar (looks like a fully auto Barrett), the melee people can either use the Advanced Power Fist or a Super Sledge. Pretty much, no matter what weapon you specialize in, you will find a tool with which you can kick ass. The combat rewards every successful strike with a comment, like "Your attack caused severe blindness. As if there was any other kind". What else... Level cap is 99, I don't remember the exact number of towns you can visit, but there is plenty and they are all unique, multiple items, multiple quests, overall it's a game that will keep you playing for a good amount of time. I am still playing Fallout 2, and finding it superior to most games I have ever played.
Even though I played it many times, I still keep discovering new things (probably my favorite: a dead body laying under a pile of rocks. When I examined it, the description said "You see Ed. Ed's dead.")
To sum up, play this game if you liked Fallout 3. It's worth it. Even better, play the first Fallout first.

Game Title: Unreal Tournament
Release Date: 1999
Developer: Epic Games
Publisher: GT Interactive
Genre: FPS Shooter
Rating: M
Platform(s): PC
The first, Amazing, Online multiplayer, Shooting game. Starting with the story, You're basically a player of a death match tournament, Which is the biggest sport in the world (like death race, Minus the cars). You get a huge array of guns, Great graphics for its time and I still find myself playing it and loving it as much as I ever did. Now there is a large amount of mods, Particularly my favorite is Monster Hunt (in which you hunt and kill monsters, self explanatory.) It includes a great well rounded control feeling, Endless amounts of fun, Plenty of customization, Large array of weaponry as previously stated, Cheap game too. I don't know where to go with this, Great game, Only about 10$ I think on steam. I still have the G.O.T.Y. edition I got back in like 03'. Yes, I was 8, And I still love this game. 4/5 stars, Get it.
Ni ceart go cur le cheile.
